April 10th, 2026

  • bugfix Updated some movies that had a runtime of 0 minutes.
  • bugfix Updated movie profiles so movies with a runtime of 0 minutes aren't taken into account for the "runtime distribution graph" and "shortest"/"longest" movies watched list (since a runtime of 0 minutes can still happen, if the runtime is unknown).

  • minor update Added a section to the all-time movie profiles that shows the longest watch streak! (example).

September 12th, 2025

  • minor update Updated the text shown when hovering the movie ratings chart: it now also shows the amount (and percentages) of movies rated higher/lower than the current hovered over rating.
  • minor update Updated the (desktop) styling of the "show all movies..." and "show all episodes..." sections, so sections are grouped together more logically. This styling now also matches the styling of the same sections on the all-time pages.

  • minor update Added a "runtime distribution" section on all movie pages. It contains a visual overview of the movie runtimes, as well as the 3 longest and 3 shortest movies watched.

  • minor update Added a visual indication of the rewatch-count when viewing the list of all watched movies ordered by rating. Check out this profile and click on "show all watched movies" > "order by rating" to see it in action (you'll see eye-icons next to movies that were watched more than once).

  • bugfix Fixed a watchlist bug that made it impossible to create a new tag.
  • bugfix Updated mobile logging to make it easier to log movies and shows (by showing/hiding the default or numeric keyboard when relevant).

  • bugfix Yesterday's update introduced a major bug, which caused all profiles to be blank. Whoopsie. This has been fixed!

  • major update Premium members now have access to their all-time movie profiles (example), which has been a long time coming :) If you have any feature requests or found a bug on an all-time profile make sure to let me know! (sidenote: all-time TV profiles are still in the works)
  • bugfix There was a bug in the section of most watched "directors", "writers" and "composers". Apart from the main credits, these lists also included second unit directors, assistant directors, original novel writers, sound designers, foley artists and other related credits. This has been changed so only the "main credits" are shown in these lists. Since most of these people are pretty much unknown for the general public, it didn't make sense including them. As a result: your top directors, writers and composers might've changed. If for any given year you still see names you don't recognise in these lists: please log a movie in that year (you can remove it again afterwards). This triggers "refreshing" your profile and will fix the issue.

  • minor update If you watched multiple episodes of a TV show on one day, you can now log them in bulk (if they're consecutive episodes and part of the same season) and no longer have to create a log for each episode separately.
    Example: you can fill in episode number "1-5" if you want to log episodes 1 through 5.
    This feature was requested by Pedro A. via the Mooviestats Discord channel. Thanks for the suggestion!

  • major update Premium members can now change the descriptions of their movie star-ratings. Handy if you for example consider to be "must-see" instead of the default "masterpiece" description.
  • minor update Added percentages to the tooltip that appears when you hover over the "ratings" and "by weekday" bar charts (as suggested by the Mooviestats user Pedro A.).
  • minor update When logging (or watchlisting) a movie, the director of the movie will appear after selecting it from the dropdown. This is particularly useful for movies that have identical names and you're unsure of the release date. The director's name(s) in combination with the year and poster should make it easier to know if you've got the right movie.
  • bugfix Looks like new registrations were broken for a while. Whoops! Should be fixed now. If anybody reading this still has trouble creating an account, please let me know!
